Your telegram No. 28. Dental Surgeon. If provisional appointment can be cancelled, I would prefer that Retrenchment Committee should consider the necessity of this post, if this is not possible, replies are
1. private practice is not allowed. 2. equipment will have to be purchased $4,000 only provided in Estimates, person selected should purchase absolutely necessary instruments up to limit of say £250 leaving balance for purchase of
equipment to be obtained locally. In view of Retrenchment
investigation promised in connection with Salaries Report.
doubtful if supplementary provision will be sanctioned this
year, provision made for dental mechanic to be employed
locally. 3. electric power available. 4. desirable that
study leave should be completed but nofunds available without
supplementary vote.
